The Shorty Interview
with Katy Cowan
What are six things you could never do without?
My family, my husband, the Internet, the south of France, my snowboarding, and the beautiful city of Manchester...
Twitter or Facebook?
Definitely Twitter. There's less emotional involvement than Facebook. No one takes it personally if you 'unfollow' them.
Why should we vote for you?
I don't claim to be the best but I'm passionate, hard working and love helping the creative industries. If you love what I do, please vote!
What's the most interesting connection you've made through Twitter?
Scott Goodson @ScottFrog He's the founder of a global advertising agency, is based in NYC and has become a client as well as a good friend.
What inspires you to tweet?
I love helping others who work in the creative industries. It can be tough out there, so I aim to support, inspire and entertain.
How do you decide what to tweet?
I try to share helpful things to do with the creative industries but sometimes I just enjoy socialising.
Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?
Definitely. It helped me launch Creative Boom, build up a business and meet people no matter where they're based in the world. Love it!
What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?
Show more of their personality. It's great to hear funny remarks or find out what people get up to! It shows more of the real person.
How will the world change in the next year?
The digital revolution will continue to make an impact. Business will become more efficient. I also think people are realising less is more.
